Prayers

Wanting to take a minute and let a friend of mine know I'm thinking of her on a difficult day. No words can heal, only time will help, but a shoulder to cry on is always near.

Wendy,
Thank-you for your sweet thoughts and always willing to be a shoulder I can cry on. You are not just my s-i-l... you are my friend.
Yesterday was difficult. But, I made it better than it could have by having Santa bring a letter. The three of us also went to the cemetary alone to leave a balloon. Later, I met up w/ the family to go to Dad's work to give out an achievement award to one of Dad's close co-workers. I bawled. Then, a co-worker told us he had a voicemail from Dad back in April. And he played it for us all. It was hilarious. It was my Dad. He was singing, "Go Cubbies! Go Cubbies!" It made us laugh through our tears. And that is exactly what Dad would have wanted on his birthday. Afterwards we met up with even more family and headed to the cemetary where we released balloons that we had each written special messages to Dad on. Then, we sang Happy Birthday. It was nice. Difficult, but nice.

Thank-you for everything. You are an amazing friend.
Christina :-)
